Clear Vehicle Data Limited of 85 Church Rd, Hove, BN3 2BB, East Sussex, United Kingdom (“CVD”) is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This Privacy Policy explains how we use the information we collect about you, how you can instruct us if you prefer to limit the use of that information we have in place to safeguard your privacy.
1. INFORMATION COLLECTED AND USE OF INFORMATION
You may browse CVD web site on an anonymous basis as no personal information (names, addresses, e-mail addresses, phone numbers etc.) is collected unless you register on the web site. CVD does however collect some basic technical information (including the IP address) and some of your non-identifiable information such as click sequences and vehicle pricing requests. This data is used to produce vehicle pricing reports, analysis of your usage of the web site, new product offerings, and customised online advertising and promotional offers (see also “Advertisements” below). CVD may aggregate non-personal information relating to the use of this web site for statistical purposes but none of this information is made available to other users of the web site.
2. REGISTRATION AND USE OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
When you register on the site, your personal data is collected and stored. The data is used for automatically pre-populating all possible forms on CVD web site with your data in order to make your visit a better experience, and for retrieving data and Cost of Motoring Forecasts which you have stored. Unless you have given your consent, the data will not be disclosed to any third party except as provided at paragraph 3 below or to the extent either allowed or required by law or where CVD has identified abusive or non-compliant use of the web site. If you give CVD and/or a third party your approval to use your personal data, this data will be handled with the utmost respect for your privacy. The data will become the property of CVD and/or third parties.
If you choose to purchase any of the services offered on CVD web site you will be offered various options for payment which will involve CVD passing your personal information to a third party in order to generate the payment from you to CVD. However, notwithstanding the above, CVD will not be able to maintain control over any personal data which is produced to such third parties and will not therefore be liable for any misuse of that data by such third party.
Brochure, test drive and vehicle quote or vehicle finance requests are handled through CVD web site. The personal information supplied for a brochure, test drive or quote request will be handed over to the relevant manufacturer, distributor of the vehicle or finance company, which may lead to a transfer of the information to a country outside of the United Kingdom for the purposes of processing by CVD and its business partners. By submitting your order, you consent to this transfer. Any such business partners are selected by CVD on a number of selection criteria and are bound by a contract to ensure the proper handling of any personal data which is received. However, once CVD hands over your personal data, the responsibility for this data no longer lies with CVD but with the relevant business partner.
CVD is an authorised representative under the Financial Conduct Authority, details of which are provided at the end of this Privacy Policy. We will operate procedures for handling your finance enquiry which are fully compliant with FCA regulations.
3. INFORMATION PROVIDED TO THIRD PARTIES AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
This Privacy Policy only applies to CVD web site. A number of links on the web site will open up new browsers containing web sites built by other parties. CVD cannot be held responsible for these links, web sites or for the action of any third party service providers. These third party web sites may collect your personal information and may or may not be used in conjunction with CVD web site content. Before you supply any personal information to any such third party, which links to CVD web site or otherwise uses its content, you should read and understand the privacy policy of those third party web sites. CVD cannot in any way be responsible for those web sites.
If you request a Cost of Motoring Forecast or other service, we may pass your basic contact details to relevant dealers and their agents to enable them to contact you with suitable offers. If you do not want us to do this, please do not request the Forecast or other service.
CVD may also send you other information about its products and services or pass your information to selected third parties for their marketing purposes unless and to the extent that you have indicated otherwise to CVD either during your order process or by contacting us using the details below.
4. COOKIES
If CVD web site is to work properly, you will need to ensure that your web browser is set to accept cookies. A cookie is a small file (or record in a file) which the web site can send to your browser which may then store it on its system. Cookies allow CVD to understand who has seen which pages and to determine how frequently particular pages are visited and to determine more popular areas of its web site. Cookies also allow CVD to make its web site more user friendly by allowing CVD to save all registration details or passwords so that you do not have to re-enter every time you visit CVD web site. The cookie will stay on your computer and will only be used should you enter the CVD web site. As a customer of CVD, you may from time to time receive further communications on and news of other services which may be available from CVD. Please also provide details of those email addresses to which further communications should not be sent. Any request for a third party to cease to send commercial communications should be sent directly to the third party.
7. UPDATING YOUR DETAILS and WEBSITE CHANGES
If any of the information that you have provided to CVD changes, or if you wish to cancel your details, please let CVD know by sending an email to [email protected]
If CVD makes a material change to its privacy policy it will post the changes on this page and will post notices on all the pages of the web site so that you may be aware of the information CVD collects and how CVD uses it at all times. Continued use of the service will signify that you agree to any such change.

Product Partnerships permitted business is to act as a Principal for a network of Appointed Representatives who arrange regulated credit facilities.
Clear Vehicle Data Limited acts as a credit broker not a lender. We can introduce you to a limited number of lenders who may be able to offer you finance facilities for your purchase. We will only introduce you to these lenders. We may receive a commission payment from the finance provider if you decide to enter into an agreement with them. You may be able to obtain finance for your purchase from other lenders and you are encouraged to seek alternative quotations.
